Check It! – Stuff We Loved this Week

Check out some of the things making the Emanation buzz this week:

Maybe because we have staff in NYC and we have a dog in the fight, or maybe because we’re obsessed with integrated media programs, but C’mon Lebron is getting great coverage.  I guess the real question is whether or not Mayor Bloomberg et al are getting the attention of the basketball phenom himself?  We hope so!

Bueller…?  The city of Chicago’s tourism office went retro-digital with a Foursquare reenactment of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.  What’s next?  Reenacting Jaws to earn your “We’re gonna need a bigger boat” badge when checking in to Amity Island…that’d be cool!

Foursquare’s not just for fun though, it’s also used for good, as Social Philanthropy describes.

We read lots, and so do other people, but it’s liberating to hear that big, smart thinkers out there, like Clay Shirky, don’t feel tethered to every news outlet.

And last, but certainly not least, as an homage to the upcoming World Cup, penguins playing soccer.

Check it out!
